Stats & facts: A look back at the final game of the season against Metz

In the aftermath of Paris' 5-0 victory over Metz on Saturday 21 May at the Parc des Princes, find out the key facts and figures from the 38th and final matchday of Ligue 1.

thank you ANGEL!

Angel Di Maria said goodbye to the Parc des Princes in the final match of the season. After seven years spent at the club, the best passer in the history of Paris Saint-Germain is leaving for another challenge. "El Fideo" played 295 games in all competitions for Paris. The Argentine scored 92 goals and provided 112 assists for the club. A tribute worthy of the player, immense!

the PARC DES PRINCES, a fortress

Mauricio Pochettino's players have once again won at home. With a convincing 5-0 victory over Metz on Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain confirmed their unbeaten home record. The club from the capital ends the league unbeaten at the Parc des Princes and even better, the Parisians end the season without a single defeat at home in all competitions (20 wins and 4 draws). An exceptional performance since it had been achieved only twice before in the club's history (23 matches in 1985-1986 and 27 in 2016-2017). Unbeatable!

NEYMAR JR centurion

Neymar Jr arrived in August 2017 and continues to write history with Paris Saint-Germain. The Parisian number 10 scored the third goal against Metz on Saturday and is now even more of a legend at the club. Only five players have reached the 100-goal mark in the red and blue shirt: Edinson Cavani (200 goals), Kylian Mbappé (171 goals, ongoing), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (156 goals), Pedro Miguel Pauleta (109 goals) and Dominique Rocheteau (100 goals). This is a significant milestone for the Brazilian, who joins the exclusive club of players who have scored a hundred goals with Paris. Incredible!

KYLIAN MBAPPÉ, RECORD after RECORD

After extending his Parisian adventure for three more years, the French international has broken new records this season. Kylian Mbappé scored a hat-trick against Metz on Saturday to become the first player to finish as Ligue 1's top scorer (28 goals) and top assister (17 assists) since the LFP began awarding these two prizes.

An outstanding season for the Parisian number 7 who was involved in 45 of his team's goals. Only a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic did better, during the 2015-2016 season, by being decisive on 51 occasions. This is also the highest tally in the big 5 leagues this season.

And if that wasn't enough, the Bondy native became the 3rd player to finish top scorer in Ligue 1 in 4 consecutive seasons after Carlos Bianchi (4 with Reims and Paris) and Jean-Pierre Papin (5 with Marseille). 2025 !
