PARIS, MONTPELLIER'S NEMESIS
Winners in the south-west on Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain have now won their last 12 Ligue 1 matches against Montpellier.
Only three teams have experienced a worse run against the Parisians in the league: Angers SCO (16 matches since 2015, streak ongoing), FC Nantes (14 matches from 2003 to 2019), FC Metz (14 matches since 2008, streak ongoing), tied with Stade Brestois 29 (12 matches from 2011 to 2024).
During this run against MHSC, the capital club has scored an average of four goals per game!
YOUNG PLAYERS IN THE SPOTLIGHT
At La Mosson, the average age of Paris Saint-Germain's starting eleven was 21 years and 251 days, the youngest XI ever fielded by the capital club in official competition.
The previous record was also set by Les Rouge et Bleu, on 15 January, during their 4-2 victory over FC Espaly at the Stade Marcel Michelin in Clermont in the round of 32 of the Coupe de France, with a team whose players had an average age of 21 years and 327 days.
A goal from Parisian midfielder Senny Mayulu, assisted by captain Warren Zaïre-Emery, marked the first time that two players born in 2006 or later had combined for a goal in Ligue 1.
RAMOS SEES TRIPLE
Against Montpellier, Paris Saint-Germain striker Gonçalo Ramos celebrated his 50th Ligue 1 appearance in style with his first career hat-trick in the top flight.
The Portuguese international has now been involved in 13 goals in the top flight in 2024-2025 (ten goals, three assists), surpassing his total from last season (11 goals, one assist).
The capital club's goalkeeper, Arnau Tenas, provided the assist for the No.9's final goal, his second in Ligue 1 after the one he scored against Toulouse FC almost exactly a year ago to the day!
