Socios.com kicks off the hunt for Paris Saint-Germain Fan Tokens
Now 18 months into a pioneering partnership, Paris Saint-Germain and the sports and entertainment mobile app Socios.com are offering Paris Saint-Germain fans the chance to enhance their supporter experience by making their voices heard on a range of topics and through exclusive competitions.
Later this month, millions of Paris Saint-Germain Fan Tokens ($PSG) will go on sale on the Socios.com app as part of a Fan Token Offering (FTO™). Retailing at around €2 each (subject to currency fluctuations), PSG Fan Tokens can be purchased using $CHZ, the mobile app’s exclusive digital currency.*
In buying Fan Tokens, users can make their voices heard by taking part in votes on the platform such as choosing which message will go on the inside of the captain’s armband, as well as the design of the Paris Saint-Germain team bus and the curtain in the players’ tunnel at the Parc des Princes.
As part of the initiative, Socios.com is offering all MyParis subscribers and members a Fan Token they can activate on Socios.com. In addition, hundreds of thousands of $CHZ and thousands of Fan Tokens will be given away for free all over the world in Token Hunt, the app’s augmented reality (AR) feature.
So how does Token Hunt work? Using geo-location technology, Socios.com places tokens at millions of ‘points of interest’ across the world, from stadiums to city centers and everywhere else in between. Fans can log-in on a daily basis to collect both $CHZ and Fan Tokens. In the app, join the Daily Global Hunt, where you’ll see seven question mark icons appearing in your vicinity, regardless of where you’re located. Tap on any of the question mark icons and it will be revealed as either $CHXZ or Fan Tokens. Once close enough to capture, simply tap on the Token – AR mode will then be activated, the token will appear in augmented reality, and you simply add it to your in-app wallet.
Fan Token buyers will also earn points for voting and interacting with the app, giving them access to exclusive rewards, including once-in-a-lifetime experiences that take them close to the players. The more Fan Tokens they accumulate, the better the reward.
The Socios.com app is available to download on Android. An iOS release of the app is imminent.
