Shenzhen loved it!
Scores of local fans showed their love for Paris Saint-Germain throughout the club's stay in the Chinese city for the Trophée des Champions.
During the whole of the Asia Summer Tour 2018 and the win over Monaco, the Rouge-et-Bleu benefitted from unfailing support from their fans. Dressed head to toe in the colours of the club, they flocked to the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Center Stadium, and grouped together in a section for the Paris Saint-Germain Fan Clubs in Asia.
Before the game, 150 of them met up to march on the stadium, singing club songs as they went. It was the same story from the start of their stay. A hundred fans had waited for the team at their hotel where Julian Draxler and Co. rewarded the fans for their patience with autographs and selfies.
Two days later, 150 turned up to watch the pre-match training session and collect more autographs. A little earlier in the day, 25 members of the Shanghai, Canton, Harbin, Hong Kong and Shenzhen had got to meet Thiago Silva, Angel Di Maria and Christopher Nkunku.
The next day, the Paris Saint-Germain Asia Fan Club Presidents all met up for a pre-match lunch, and they will go on helping to ensure the club's popularity in the region continues to grow.
