Rico: 'Very happy to be here'

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Sergio Rico spoke to the media ahead of the Coupe de la Ligue quarter-final against Saint-Étienne:

LINAS-MONTLHÉRY

"They really surprised me. They tried to play short and pass the ball around. I was really surprised. It was a good match and a good way to start the year. The penalty? I just went on instinct. I saw the attacker was looking to go to my left and I managed to stop it with a bit of luck."

ADAPTATION

"First of all, it's fantastic to be at this club. I am very happy to have the chance to play for Paris Saint-Germain and live in this great city. Every player would be happy to play here, in one of the best clubs in the world. I'm also happy to play back to back matches. I want to keep playing here. Being the second choice 'keeper is not easy and when I get the chance to play, I give everything for the club, the coaching staff and my teammates so that everyone is happy with my work and to help the team progress."

KEYLOR NAVAS

"We have different qualities. I hope he can learn from me, just like I learn from him. He is a great guy and a fantastic goalkeeper, one of the best in the world. I try to learn as much as possible from him. I am working very hard in training to be ready when I'm needed. I am progressing a lot here, even if I'm training more than playing. I am always up against the best attackers in the world."
