Renato Sanches loaned to AS Roma
Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches joins Serie A side AS Roma on loan with option to buy, from Paris Saint-Germain.
A Benfica youth product, Renato Sanches made his debut for the Lisbon outfit in the 2015/16 season, winning the championship and the league Cup.
Transferred to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2016, the Portugal international made 53 appearances for the Bavarian side, winning nine trophies. During his time with Bayern, he also spent the 2017/18 season on loan with Swansea City in the Premier League.
Renato Sanches then signed for LOSC Lille in August 2019. In three seasons in the north of France, he played 90 matches (6 goals, 10 assists), winning the French Ligue 1 championship in 2021 and the Trophée des Champions in 2021.
During the 2022/23 campaign, the Paris Saint-Germain No.18 made 27 appearances, scoring twice.
The Lisbon-native made his international debut at just 18 years of age in March 2016 before being called up by national team coach Fernando Santos for Euro 2016. He became the youngest player to score in a knockout match of Euro when he netted in the quarter-final against Poland, as Portugal were crowned European champions.
Paris Saint-Germain wishes Renato and excellent season with AS Roma.
