Ready for Bordeaux - Paris Saint-Germain?

PSG.FR takes a look ahead to Sunday's Ligue 1 encounter between Paris Saint-Germain and Bordeaux at the Stade Matmut Atlantique (kick-off 21:00CET).

THE MATCH
It's the 103rd competitive meeting between the two sides, the most any team has met the Parisians. The overall record has both with 39 wins, though Paris Sain-Germain have won the last five encounters between the two, including three away from home. 

The capital club has won their last six away games, and is now just two short of the club record set in 2016/17.

THE PLAYERS
Twenty-nine players have worn the colours of both teams, including Younousse Sankharé, who plays for Bordeaux and who came through the Camp des Loges youth academy. Youssouf Sabaly, another Bordeaux man, came through the Paris Saint-Germain ranks, but did not feature in a competitive game for the Rouge-et-Bleu.

Ricardo (155 matches from 1991 to 1995) and Patrick Colleter (213 matches from 1991 to 1996), who are now manager and assistant coach of Les Girondins, featured in the Paris back four during the 90s, and the Brazilian started his coaching career in the capital in 1998.

With ten goals, including four braces, Edinson Cavani is Paris Saint-Germain's top scorer against Bordeaux, ahead of Pedro Miguel Pauleta (7 goals).

It was against Bordeaux on 18 August 1971 that Paris Saint-Germain registered its first top-flight point with a 0-0 draw. The capital club now has 2152 under its belt.
