Ramping it up

Paris Saint-Germain were back on home soil at the Parc des Princes for the first time since the visit of Dortmund back in March. In front of almost 3,000 spectators, Thomas Tuchel's side had a clear objective, continue to improve their physical condition and rediscover the link-up play between the squad.

In a fixture made up of four 30 minute quarters, the coach was able to rotate the team and give all members some decent game time. The players from the capital showed desire and physicality from the very get go. Mbappé almost got the opener on two occasions (2', 5') before the Belgian defence finally cracked. Vukotic turned the ball into his own net after a cross from Kylian, who was at last rewarded for his efforts (1-0, 21').

The floodgates opened and Les Parisiens could then go to town. Neymar won and then converted a penalty in order to double the lead (2-0, 27'), and he then found himself up against Pirard from the penalty spot again 20 minutes later. Ney struck the ball and found... Icardi! The innovative penalty worked and the Argentine smashed the ball under the bar, for a deserved goal after he saw his effort blocked by Vukotic's hand on the line just moments earlier, leading to the penalty (3-0, 47').

Mbappé had his moment on the hour mark just before the large scale rotation. Di Maria crossed into the middle, Neymar flicked the ball on, Icardi couldn't quite get there and the ball arrived at the feet of the number 7 who made no mistake at the back post (4-0, 60'+1).

Showpo-Moting

The second half saw an entirely changed Paris side on the pitch. Choupo-Moting, came on and made his own impact on the match, thanks to two beauties almost one after the other! A beautiful turn followed by a smart piece of skill and then a beautiful left-footed effort into the back of the net, got the Parc to its feet (5-0, 65'). One minute later, Draxler perfectly found Choupo, and his right-footed effort left the Belgian keeper with no chance (6-0, 66').

Loïc Mbe Soh also got his name on the scoresheet, as he popped up in the box to convert Sarabia's corner (7-0, 93'). The score remained at 7-0 and Les Parisiens continue their run with gusto and are now focused on the next challenge against Celtic, the final friendly before the domestic cup finals.
