Promising midfielder Gabriel Moscardo signs for Paris Saint-Germain until 2028

Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the signing of 18-year-old Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Moscardo, who joins the capital club until 2028 and will immediately be loaned back to SC Corinthians until the end of the season.

Moscardo was 12 years old when he joined Corinthians back in 2017, and after rising through the ranks at the Timão, he eventually broke into the club’s first team in the summer of 2023.

The man born in Taubaté, a city in the state of São Paulo, made his professional debut for Corinthians at the age of 17, when he came on as a substitute in a 3-0 win over Uruguayan outfit Liverpool Fútbol Club in the Copa Libertadores on 28th June 2023.

Renowned for his ball-winning ability and his physical impact, the Brazilian midfielder would then waste no time in establishing himself as a first-team regular to the point that he became one of the first names on the Corinthians team sheet, making 25 appearances and racking up one goal and one assist in the process.

His displays have also earned him a call-up to Brazil’s U23s, with whom he featured in a friendly against Morocco’s U23s on 7th September 2023, just a few weeks after turning 18.

“I’m very happy to be joining Paris Saint-Germain; this is one of the best days of my life. It’s a project with some talented young players in it. I’m looking forward to joining up with the squad and to meeting the team and the coaching staff, and I hope to win many trophies with Les Rouge et Bleu and to make the fans happy”, Moscardo said.
