Pre-season continues for the Parisians

After a week of intense pre-season work, Thomas Tuchel's squad will enjoy a day off before heading into their first friendlies of the summer.

Back in the French capital since Monday, Thomas Tuchel's men ended their first week of pre-season training on Saturday. After undergoing a barrage of fitness and medical tests, the Rouge-et-Bleu pulled on their boots for the first time this summer on Wednesday at the Ooredoo Training Centre.

It was an opportunity to not only to build fitness but also get used to having the ball at their feet again, sometimes across two training sessions a day. They were intense sessions, all the better to set the squad up for the 2019/20 campaign and the pre-season friendlies coming up.

The club's four summer recruits - Ander Herrera, Pablo Sarabia, Marcin Bulka and Mitchel Bakker - got the chance to get a better feel for their new environment with Herrera in particular already looking at ease as he talked some of his new teammates through things on the training pitch.

After a day off on Sunday, the squad will be back on the training pitch on Monday for a double session before the trip to Germany where a friendly with Dynamo Dresden awaits on Tuesday.
