Paris Saint-Germain unveils Jordan away jersey

Currently on a pre-season tour of Japan, Paris Saint-Germain has unveiled its away kit for the 2022/23 season, as well as the corresponding Performance, training and lifestyle ranges. The collection includes the highly anticipated Air Jordan 5 Low PSG shoe, which was introduced to the world in July by American basketball player Zion Williamson during a visit to Quai 54 in Paris.

Predominantly grey with black, brown and brownish-grey variations, the pieces pay tribute to the legendary Parc des Princes stadium, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and in which PSG has played 1,147 matches to date.

In an interesting turn of events, Paris Saint-Germain will wear its new kit for the first time far from home, in Japan, in an equally urban arena, during the opening match of its Japan Tour against defending J-League champions Kawasaki Frontale at Tokyo’s National Stadium on 20 July.

The jersey and an assortment of lifestyle items are available now via early access across the Paris Saint-Germain shop network, at store.psg.fr and at nike.com. The rest of the collection is available for pre-order at store.psg.fr, and will be in shops from 26/07, as will the Air Jordan 5 Low PSG shoe.

In Japan, the Away collection is available in its entirety from today. The launch will benefit from the exceptional visibility of the Japan Tour, the robust sales network developed by the Parisian club, and the Jordan brand’s unique popularity in the country.

To complement the jersey launch, Paris Saint-Germain is this month releasing a series of five exclusive “The Parc is Magic” podcasts, bonus material from Season 1 of “Paris is Magic”. Two episodes are already available; the first one recounts the history of the Parc des Princes before Paris Saint-Germain, from its inception to the establishment of the club, and can be listened to HERE. The origin of the Parc, the first-ever match (PSG-Laval), iconic women’s games held in the arena, the craziest matches, and the most memorable evenings (concerts/shows) that have ever taken place at the Parc are among the topics covered.
