Paris Saint-Germain opens office in New York

French soccer club Paris Saint-Germain is building further momentum internationally by creating an overseas office in New York. This third office for the club outside of France follows the first opening in Doha, currently managed by Fabien Dilem, and a second in Singapore managed by Sébastien Wasels. Both Dilem and Wasels were transferred from the club’s Paris headquarters. With this new permanent base in the United States, Paris Saint-Germain hopes to increase brand visibility, cultivate new partnerships and nurture its growing fanbase, which has flourished in recent years following three successful summer tours to North America and the signing of global superstars Neymar Jr, Mbappé and Dani Alves.

The office will be managed by Jérôme de Chaunac, who is joining the club as Managing Director of the Americas.

Frédéric Longuépée, Deputy Managing Director in charge of business activities at Paris Saint-Germain, commented: “In 2011, our Chairman and CEO set everyone at the club the task of transforming Paris Saint-Germain into a top international sports brand. The club now embodies the values of elegance, excellence and respect that are associated with the city of Paris, whose name it so proudly bears. The brand has since become one of the fastest growing projects in the world, especially digitally. Opening offices in strategic territories is an important part of its development.”

We have had a strong presence in the United States over the past three summers with our men’s team touring New York, Los Angeles and Miami as part of the International Champions Cup. We also have some of the top South American players in our team. Having a year-round presence in this market is now crucial and an obvious next step. We are thrilled to welcome Jérôme de Chaunac to lead the team there and are excited to create more opportunties to engage with our fanbase in this region.

This summer, Paris Saint-Germain’s women’s team will tour the United States for the first time. The squad will be training in Portland and playing International Champions Cup matches in Miami.

Paris Saint-Germain already has more than 20 fan clubs across the Americas (Washington, Seattle, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, Montréal, Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, New York, North Carolina, Miami, Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Chile, Argentina (Córdoba), Brazil (Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro), Mexico (Mexico), Costa Rica, Martinique, Guadeloupe) and has a strong digital footprint in the continent, with millions of active fans on social media.

The Paris Saint-Germain Academy network is currently thriving in the Americas, with youth training programs based in New York, Miami, Montreal and Brazil.
