Several events are planned to allow the supporters to meet their idols. Two training sessions will be open to the public, and the local partners of the tour are rolling out a variety of operations to give supporters the chance to enjoy some exceptional experiences with the players.

Sebastien Wasels, Managing Director of Paris Saint-Germain Asia Pacific, announced, "The players and staff are delighted to fly to Japan for this historic tour. Paris Saint-Germain is very fond of Japan and its Japanese fans. The club is already well established in the country, with its own fan club, Japanese LINE and Twitter accounts, two stores, café, eSport team and various collaborations with local Japanese artists and designers. All that was missing was this tour, which our supporters cannot wait to see. The Paris Saint-Germain players will meet Japan’s top teams and will prepare for the coming season in the ultra-modern facilities made available to the club. This Japan Tour 2022 will be truly memorable for our many Japanese supporters, and we hope to win the hearts of all Japanese football fans."

In Tokyo, the Parisians will take part in matches with the club and tour’s supporters and partners, as well as learning about Japanese culture. Showing their commitment to the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation’s mission, they will also visit an orphanage in Tokyo to provide some comfort to sick children.

In the land of judo, Parisian judoka Teddy Riner, two-time Olympic gold medallist and ten-time world champion, and Djamel Bourras, president and former PSG Judo star and 1996 Olympic gold medallist, will also make the trip to spread the word about Paris Saint-Germain’s other sports and strengthen the relationship between the club’s judo branch and the discipline’s country of origin. They will take the time to chat with and share their experiences with young judokas from Tokyo.

Legendary PSG player and former star of the J-League Patrick Mboma will also join the trip.

The club will also use this tour as an opportunity to unveil its away kit for the 22-23 season as well as its collaborations with emblematic designers. These collections will be on sale in a pop-up store in the Shinjuku district, which joins the network of club stores already established in Japan with Edifice, which includes stores in Tokyo and Nagoya and the PSG café in Tokyo.

In Japan, Paris Saint-Germain is present on social media LINE and has posted in Japanese on Twitter since 2019.
