Paris Saint-Germain celebrate Qatar Sports Day in Doha

Paris Saint-Germain took part in the Qatari National Sports Day on Tuesday 14 February, hosting thousands of participants across multiple sites throughout Doha. Throughout the day of festivities, the Club promoted the values and benefits of sporting activities.

Several activities were organised by the PSG Academy, who have been on the ground in Doha for more than three years and were in fact, the first sporting academy in the country. The girls from the Academy's U10-U17s played in football tournaments at the University of Science and Technology. At the same time, football and handball workshops took place at the Qatar Foundation, as well as a competition for the youngsters in Women's football. For the adults, a five-a-side tournament was held on Pearl-Island with PSG medals up for grabs.

The main event of the day took place at Mushiereb Downtown where Paris Saint-Germain put on an excellent array of activities, combining football workshops, snookball, photo booths with players from the Club and the Coupe de France and Ligue 1 trophies.

Paris Saint-Germain shirts were everywhere, worn by thousands of children throughout this significant day for the country. The opportunity to demonstrate the work that the Club has been involved with in the country, but also the values that are being championed on a daily basis, through the promotion of Women's football and the importance of sharing in sport.
