Paris put on a show to keep their run going!

One week after their victory over Reims, Les Parisiens were once again victorious, this time at the Parc on Matchday 6 of Ligue 1 (6-1).

Determined to rediscover his side's attacking form, Thomas Tuchel once again opted to start with four attacking players at kick-off, Julian Draxler playing high up the pitch, alongside Neymar Jr, Kylian Mbappé and Mauro Icardi.

Against an Angers side that looked to make life difficult for Les Parisiens, the home side showed their desire to hit the game running from the very get go. After an early chance for an extremely lively Kylian Mbappé (4'), it was Alessandro Florenzi, who got things going with an inspired volley, which found the back of Paul Bernardoni's net (1-0, 7').

Les Rouge et Bleu then set about controlling the encounter and giving the visitors the run-around. After several opportunities (11', 22', 14'), Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr combined excellently to double the home side's lead, with the Brazilian powerfully finishing a gem from his compere (2-0, 36'). A third assist in two matches for the n°7.

But SCO weren't going to give up. Stéphane Bahoken reminded Keylor Navas of that on two occasions, but the Costa Rican remained focused (13', 26'). It was Les Rouge et Bleu who were to be rewarded for their first-half domination.

After the break, Thomas Tuchel's side continued to link up well. Neymar Jr got his brace as he connected with another cross, this time coming in from Alessandro Florenzi, as the scorer turned provider (3-0, 47').

Despite the Paris dominance, Stéphane Moulin and co. never lost hope and they even reduced the host's lead, from a corner as Ismaël Traoré found the back of the net (3-1, 52'). The men from the capital were taken aback, but didn't take long to respond! Julian Draxler got on the end of a cross from Mitchel Bakker (4-1, 57'), before Idrissa Gueye, who had just come on, tapped home a ball in from Neymar Jr (5-1, 71'). Finally, Kylian Mbappé brought the attacking masterclass to an end, when he turned home a cross from Pablo Sarabia (6-1, 84').

A strong result for Les Parisiens who continue to build momentum. A fourth consecutive victory, which takes them to second place in the league.
