Paris pays tribute to Thiago Motta!

Throughout the evening, the Parc des Princes paid an incredible tribute to Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta.

'Grazie Motta' read the giant banner in the Auteuil Stand before kick-off. It was a fitting send off for the Italian midfielder who has set the tempo in the Paris midfield for the last six and a half seasons.

The players, coaches and medical staff set up a guard of honour, he was presented with a trophy by Paris Saint-Germain Chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, accompanied by his wife and children, there was a minute's applause in the eighth minute of the match, messages from former teammates and friends and family was broadcast on the big screens and he lifted the Hexagoal Ligue 1 trophy… captain of Les Rouge et Bleu this evening, it was a night to remember for Thaigo Motta.

"I would like to thank you for your support," declared Thiago Motta to the Parc des Princes after the match. "We have enjoyed six and a half incredible years together. I would also like to thank my teammates, the coaching staff and the Chairman who gave me the chance to come and play here. It has been simply incredible."
