Paris pay tribute to victims of Munich air disaster

Paris Saint-Germain Chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaïfi paid homage to the victims of the 1958 Munich air disaster, on the eve of the first leg of the UEFA Champions League last-16 tie against Manchester United, this Tuesday at 21:00 CET at Old Trafford.

The Busby Babes, the Reds Devils side of 1958, coached by Matt Busby, was involved in a plane crash that claimed the lives of 23 of the 44 people on board. The aeroplane, carrying the team, journalists and supporters was returning from Belgrade after a European Cup clash against Crvena Zvezda, and stopped in Munich to refuel on 6 February 1958.

As the Paris Saint-Germain first team trained at Old Trafford on the eve of Tuesday's clash against Manchester United, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi visited the memorial at the stadium.
