Paris pair sit atop the goals and assists charts
Following Matchday 16 of Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain forwards Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé occupy the top spot in the league’s goals chart and assists chart respectively.
Although Paris Saint-Germain were held to a 1-1 draw in the dying moments of the game away to LOSC on Sunday, Kylian Mbappé shone once again as he helped the capital club to go five points clear of second-placed Nice at the top of the Ligue 1 table, with a total of 37 points now on the board.
Les Rouge et Bleu also lead the way in the French top flight's individual rankings, starting with its list of top scorers, at the summit of which Mbappé continues to extend his lead. By scoring Les Parisiens' only goal of the game against Lille on Sunday, the France international netted for the 16th time this season in Ligue 1.
Paris's no. 7 now sits comfortably ahead of Montpellier's Akor Adams, who has bagged seven goals so far this campaign. Behind him, AS Monaco's Wissam Ben Yedder, FC Nantes's Mostafa Mohamed and Olympique Lyonnais's Alexandre Lacazette currently boast six league goals each in 2023–2024.
Ousmane Dembélé, meanwhile, remains at the top of the league's assists chart with five assists provided, as many as RC Lens's Florian Sotoca and Olympique de Marseille's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Rouge et Bleu winger has also racked up one more than teammate Achraf Hakimi, who still has four assists to his name in Ligue 1 this season and therefore sits level with AS Monaco's Caio Henrique and Takumi Minamino, FC Nantes's Moses Simon and Florent Mollet, Stade de Reims's Mohamed Daramy and Junya Ito, Lille OSC's Edon Zhegrova, FC Metz's Matthieu Udol and Montpellier HSC's Téji Savanier.
