Paris is ready

The context:
In Ligue 1, Paris have been unbeatable so far this season, but could they be stopped? In Week 14 of the campaign, after the international break, it was Toulouse (15th) that visited the Parc des Princes looking to find the answer. Before locking horns with the Reds of Liverpool, Les Parisiens saw the Rose City arrive in town looking for a result after nine matches without a success in Ligue 1.

The highlights:
Paris had been scoring an verage of 3.5 goals per game in Ligue 1 - a ratio that took a hit on Saturday. But the most important thing are the points and Les Rouge et Bleu pocketed another three at the Parc, courtesy of a solitary strike - but what a goal it was! Edinson Cavani neted a superb opener (1-0, 10'). The Uruguayan capping off a dominant start for the home side boasting 85% possession in the opening 15 minutes. Cavani almost had a second (19'), only to see the goal ruled out for offside. The visitors' only chance coming from an acrobatic Gradel effort off target (38'). Without pepeering the TFC goal (3 shots in the first half), Paris Saint-Germain led at the break.

After the restart, the French champions looked to extend their lead. Meunier's header (54'), was followed by Di Maria (56'), but neither found the back of the net. Toulouse were still in the contest and Jullien (76') and Mubele (76') both tested Buffon. Off the bench, Chris Nkunku had chances to finish the contest (81', 89'), but he failed to hit the target. It mattered little as Paris held on for a club record 14th consecutive match in the top flight. Magique…

A man in the match: Dani Alves
The ovation was worthy of the event: tonight, Dani Alves was back on the pitch. Introduced for the final 20 minutes (70'), the Brazil international has swapped his No.32 for the No.13, but he remains as popular as ever. 200 days since he was injured in the final of the Coupe de France, Dani Alves is back. Welcome back legend!

The word: Juggle
His goal was a piece of beauty. Tonight, Cavani netted a very special goal - one of his 180 for the capital club! In the middle of the penalty box, surrounded by opposition players, El Matador juggled the ball past Amian before volleying home his ninth of the season!

Do you really need reminding? Of course not! The big match is coming as Liverpool visit the Parc next Wednesday at 21:00 on Matchday 5 of the Champions League and a match that will go a very long way in deciding who goes through to the last-16! Are you ready? OUI!!!
