Paris honours its champions
What a night for Paris Saint-Germain! For the final outing at the Parc des Princes, the French champions defeated Dijon 4-0. The Paris Saint-Germain then celebrated their eighth league title with their supporters.
Some 15 minutes after the final whistle a fireworks display marked the start of the ceremony.
The Paris Saint-Germain players, cheered on by the fans, then made their way onto the stage in the centre of the pitch, accompanied by their coach Thomas Tuchel. The Hexagoal trophy, brought to the stage by two young members of the Junior Club, was presented to Rouge et Bleu captain Thiago Silva and the rest of the squad. The entire squad then did a lap of honour of the stadium to thank all the club's fans.
It was a beautiful way to bring the curtain down on a magnificent season at the Parc des Princes, before a final match away to Reims next weekend.
