Paris held by Nice

The match:
Crowned French champions at home to Monaco (3-1) in their last home league outing, Paris Saint-Germain were denied all three points when Benitez saved Cavani's penalty (90+2') in the final seconds of a game that could have gone either way.

It could all have been different had Neymar scored with a sensational volley in the seventh minute, saved gain by the Argentine in the visitors' goal. Benitez then denied Di Maria (24') as Nice struggled to contain the capital club. Returning to the starting XI, Cavani could control his attempted volley on target (40') as it scoreless at half time despite ten shots from Les Rouge et Bleu (5 from Di Maria).

33 seconds after the restart and Nice were in front when Ganago blasted past Areola (0-1, 46'). Ten minutes later and Les Rouge et Bleu had a let off when Saint-Maximin hit the crossbar (57')… before Di Maria earned a penalty , coolly slotted home by Ney (1-1, 60')! Paris laid seige to the Nice goal and El Matador had the chance to win it for Paris, only to see his injury-time penalty saved. But Paris remain unbeaten at home in Ligue 1 this term.
