Paris-Barcelona, a new European Classique for the Rouge et Bleu

Paris Saint-Germain will come up against a familiar opponent in Wednesday's UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg at the Parc des Princes.

It's the tenth time the Catalans have come to the Parc des Princes for either a competitive game or a friendly, and they are closing on Bayern Munich and Benfica, who have been visitors on a club-high 13 occasions.

In European competition, it's the 14th time the pair will meet with the Rouge et Bleu's record reading four wins, four draws, and five defeats.

It also makes Barcelona the opponent PSG has faced most in continental competition, ahead of Bayern (13 matches), Real Madrid (12 matches), Juventus Turin (10 matches, including the UEFA Super Cup), Chelsea and Benfica (8 matches).

In total, it'll be the 18th time (including friendlies) the sides have met, making them the Parisians' most frequent non-French opponent ahead of Benfica (17).
