Paris and their opponents

Paris have been drawn against Napoli, Liverpool and Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Champions League group stage...let's take a look at the Club's Group C opponents.

SSC NAPOLI

The clubs have already met three times already. Once in a friendly in Italy on 11 August 2014 (a 2-1 win for the Rouge-et-Bleu) and twice in competitive fixtures in the UEFA Cup Last 32. Paris won 2-0 in the first leg in Italy on 21 October 1992 before securing progress to the next round with a goalless draw at the Parc des Princes on 4 November, 1992.

Did you know? It was against Napoli that George Weah, the father of Timothy, produced a memorable European performance, scoring twice.

LIVERPOOL FC

The pair have met twice. In the semi-finals of the Cup Winners' Cup in 1997, Paris won 3-0 in the first leg and lost 2-0 at Anfield, clinching their place in the final.

Did you know? In 1997, Paris became the first French club to knock Liverpool out of European competition.

RED STAR BELGRADE

The two sides have never met in a competitive game. There have been four friendlies between the duo, including two indoor at the Bercy arena in Paris.

Did you know? It's the first time Paris will meet a Serbian club in European competition.
