Paredes scores in Argentine draw
Argentina and Paris midfielders Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes drew 2-2 with Colombia in their Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Tuersday.
Like against Chile, Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni named Leandro Paredes in his starting line-up to take on Colombia. And while Los Cafeteros snatched a late draw, Paredes netted his country's second goal in just the eighth minute of the match. Angel Di Maria was an unused substitute.
Argentina sit second in the South American qualifiers behind Brazil ahead of Ecuador.
