Paredes: 'I want to live up to the expectations'

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes spoke to the media in the traditional pre-match press conference ahead of the Week 27 Ligue 1 clash away to Caen on Saturday at 17:00 CET:

"I haven't been here for long, but everyone has welcomed me very warmly, both on and off the pitch. There are a lot of South Americans in the team so it's a little easier. Working together is a great source of motivation."

"I haven't played that much as a No.10, not enough to play there full time. I feel very comfortable playing as a No.6 or No.8 and playing with two or three in midfield suits me fine. I want to keep improving every day, I play with great players, a great standard and I want to keep working hard to reach their level and live up to the expectations of my teammates and the whole club."

"I feel very good in this team and I think we can do something great this year in the Champions League. In the first leg against Manchester United we showed a lot of quality, we played as a team and I think we're on the right track and now we have to keep going like this to reach our objectives."

"Angel called me before I signed here, we spoke a lot, about football, about the team, the club... He organised things for me even before I arrived. He has been a great help and I hope we can keep working hard together to take the team as far as possible in every competition we play in."
