Pablo Sarabia: "The team's getting better as the matches go by"

The Paris midfielder stopped by the PSG TV studio this week in order to talk through the latest Paris Saint-Germain news and his feelings about the start to the campaign for the Rouge et Bleu.

Pablo, after a difficult start to the season, how do you assess the current form of the squad?
"It's true that not everything went the way we would have wanted it to at the start of the season. We didn't have much time to prepare for the new campaign, but the most important thing is to see that the team's improving and that we have made huge progress both physically and mentally as the matches have gone by."

It feels like there's been a real change with the four consecutive victories...
"The team needs to win games in order to gain confidence. It's a very important factor in the squad. You need to put a run of wins together in order to rediscover the mental strength and it pushes us to carry on on the same path."

Nîmes remains a special match for you?
"Yes, because they're the first opponents I faced at the Parc des Princes. But the most important thing is that we get the win on Friday, because that's what we need in order to carry on down the right road."

How are you finding the matches without supporters?
"It's very strange. When you have played at the Parc des Princes with the supporters behind you, you can only hope that they'll be back soon. And I hope to live such moments for a long time."

You play in a different system here compared to Sevilla. How has the adaptation process been?
"Very good. I feel very at ease in the systems we use here. I think that we need to adapt our style depending on our opponents. Sometimes it's better to play with a 4-3-3, sometimes in a 4-2-4. I like playing behind the forwards and I think that it's in this position that I can bring the most to the team. But I'm also at ease on the wing when we need to change the system."
