Pablo Sarabia: ‘Help the team’
The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder spoke at the pre-match press conference on the eve of Matchday 24 of Ligue 1 against Lyon on Sunday 9 February at 21h at the Parc des Princes. The highlights below.
POSITION
“It’s true that I played in a position that isn't my usual one against Montpellier. But if the coach is confident in me in that position, I can do it. To play up-front with Kylian Mbappé, it’s easy! It’s new for me, but I think that I can do well. I am happy here. There was a period of adapting and I am not yet 100% adapted, but I feel good. I think about playing and helping the team.”
STATISTICS
“When I arrived here, my goal was to do everything in order to help the team as best I could. My goals and assists? It’s good, I am happy. The team is very competitive in every position, particularly up-front. I am working and trying to bring as much as possible every time the team needs me.”
LYON
“We know that it will be a difficult match, against a side that is playing well, who qualified for the final of the Coupe de la Ligue and the Round of 16 of the Champions League. They could be better placed, but we know their players. We want to win every match. Maybe this one will be harder than usual, but we prepare for every game in the same way.”
DORTMUND
“We are focussed on the match on Sunday, against a tough opponent. It will be a competitive match. We then have a match in the Coupe de France. Thinking about Dortmund would be a mistake. We can only think about the next match.”
