Vitinha's Portugal through to the quarters!

The Portugal team with Paris Saint-Germain players Nuno Mendes, Danilo Pereira and Vitinha won 6-1 against Switzerland on Tuesday 6 December in Lusail, in the round of 16 of the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup.

Nuno Mendes and Danilo Pereira were out, only Vitinha played a part in Equipa das Quinas' success by coming on as a late substitute. The win means that Fernando Santos' men are now through to the quarter-finals of the competition, where they will face Achraf Hakimi's Morocco at the Al Thumama Stadium in Doha on Saturday 10 December at 16:00 (in France, 18:00 in Qatar).
