Number crunch: Paris Saint-Germain v Bordeaux

Paris SG welcome 11th placed Bordeaux to Paris today in confident mood. With a 100% home record, the Rouge et Bleu meet a team who have won only two of their last 11 away games in Ligue 1.

After last weekend’s disappointing result against Lyon, Thomas Tuchel’s side will be hoping to avoid a second consecutive loss. Not since November 2011 have Paris SG gone two games without picking up a point.

Should Bordeaux avoid defeat in the French capital, they’ll be the first club in the campaign to avoid defeat to the Ligue 1 leaders, having drawn the first tie in December 2018.

Against Villefranche in the Coupe de France on Wednesday evening, Edinson Cavani scored what was his side’s 100th goal of the season in all competitions. Two players who will be hoping to add to this tally with their own fine form for Paris are Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler. The Argentine midfielder has been directly involved in four goals in his last three league games (2 goals / 2 assists), whilst his German teammate has an impressive record against Bordeaux, with one goal and two assists against the club.

For the away team, striker François Kamano had an electric start to the season, scoring seven goals in his first nine appearances. However, the 22 year old’s form has dried up somewhat, with just one goal in his last 12 Ligue 1 games. He’ll be hoping to test the Paris SG defence tonight!
