Nordi Mukiele loaned to Bayer Leverkusen
The French defender joins Bayer Leverkusen on a loan deal without a purchase option
Nordi Mukiele started out with Paris FC’s youth teams, moving to Ligue 2 side Stade Lavallois at the age of 16. The defender made his first-team debut in Laval in November 2014 against AJ Auxerre, just a few months before signing his first professional contract.
At the start of 2017, the man from Montreuil signed for Montpellier HSC, where he made 56 appearances in all competitions before being recruited by RB Leipzig in Germany during the 2018 summer transfer window. A versatile player, capable of playing centrally or on the right side of defence, he made 146 appearances, including 23 in the Champions League, with 10 goals and 11 assists to his name, in four seasons across the Rhine. He also won his first trophy with a victory in the German Cup final against Freiburg in May 2022.
After joining Paris Saint-Germain the following summer, Nordi added two French Ligue 1 titles (2023, 2024), a Coupe de France (2024) and two Trophées des Champions (2022, 2023) to his medal collection in 45 appearances in all competitions. He has also been capped once for Les Bleus (against Finland in September 2021), having played for France's U18, U19, U20 and Espoirs teams.
Paris Saint-Germain wish Nordi Mukiele every success at Bayer Leverkusen.
