Neymar Jr: 'We believed right to the end'

Thomas Tuchel, Neymar Jr and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting looked back at Paris Saint-Germain's win over Atalanta in the Champions League quarter-final.

Neymar Jr (Paris Saint-Germain forward)

"It was amazing! It’s a great night. I’m very happy for the team, for the performance, that we believed until the very end. Everyone deserves congratulations. I had two chances to score but I didn’t make the most of them. But in the second half I helped to set up the two goals so I’m really happy and pleased. I hope this can spur on our team, and that we can carry on in the competition."

Thomas Tuchel (Paris Saint-Germain coach)

"The final minutes were incredible. I can't describe the emotions, the final whistle was an incredible relief. I think we deserved it. You need a little bit of luck at this level. But you have to make your own luck and we did that and this team is extraordinary. The team kept fighting, kept trying, believed it was possible. And for that, we have to congratulate the whole team."

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (Paris Saint-Germain forward):

"It was an incredible moment. The club's 50th birthday and a semi-final... it's incredible. We missed the supporters at the stadium, but we could feel their support from Paris. We are happy for all of Paris!
Mentally, it was a very difficult match because we had chances that we didn't take. When I came on, I told myself that it wasn't possible to head back to Paris with the team we had, we had to score. I always believed. Since the end of the lockdown, we've all been very focused and we have trained hard for that, we won the two Cups and we went through some big moments on and off the pitch. And it's thanks to those moments that we are here today. We deserved the win. I'm very happy to have scored that goal. It was crazy and the emotions were incredible."
