Neymar Jr overtakes Ronaldo

A Brazil team featuring Paris Saint-Germain players Marquinhos and Neymar Jr recorded a 4-2 victory against Peru this Tuesday 13 October at the Estadio Nacional de Lima, in a Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier.

The Rouge et Bleu number 10 bagged himself a hat-trick, and his 62nd,63rd and 64th goals for the Seleçao (in 103 appearances since 2010) mean that Neymar has now overtaken his compatriot Ronaldo (62 goals in 98 appearances from 1994 to 2011) in the all-time Brazil goalscorers list. Only Pele (77 goals in 92 appearances between 1957 and 1971) now has more goals than the Parisian.
