Nasser Al-Khelaïfi: 'Very proud of the players and coach'

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Thomas Tuchel, Gianluigi Buffon, Marquinhos and Kylian Mbappé all give their thoughts on the UEFA Champions League win in Belgrade.

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi (Paris Saint-Germain CEO and Chairman)
"We're very happy with the result and with qualifying. We have achieved our objective. We finish top of the group, which means we'll avoid a big team in the Last 16. I'm very proud of my players, my coach. Today, we showed real character. It's not easy here in Belgrade. We knew that, but I'm really very happy with my players and my staff."

Thomas Tuchel (Paris Saint-Germain coach)
"The players who played against Liverpool deserved to play tonight. There were also some important players who finished the game. We're all together, it's not a question of system but of attitude, a good attitude. We showed, as we did against Liverpool, that we're ready for that. It's very difficult to come here. They boys played magnificently tonight."

Gianluigi Buffon (Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper)
"I'm very happy to finish top of the group. I'm also very proud because we put in a good performance. We started the group stage badly. After Napoli, we changed our attitude. We showed strength, experience. This evening, we picked up where we had left off against Liverpool."

Marquinhos (Paris Saint-Germain defender)
"When the draw was made, we knew it would come down to the final game. We've managed to finish top of the group. We're going to have an advantage now. This group stage will serve us well in the future. Our squad has matured. You saw that this evening with the atmosphere in the stadium. We held on well, defended well. It was very close at 2-1. We deserve the final scoreline. We were calm. We gave our opponents few chances. If we continue with that same attitude, we'll go far."

Kylian Mbappé (Paris Saint-Germain forward)
"We're happy, we came here to qualify. We showed our intentions, and stood up for them. We got the job done, as they say. We're going back to Paris now, and we're going to focus on Ligue 1 for the next two months before turning back to the Champions League in February."
