Nasser Al-Khelaïfi carried the Olympic flame
Accompanied by a large number of Parisian fans, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi carried the Olympic flame through the streets of Vigneux (Essonne). After a 500-metre run, the PSG President passed the torch to Marie-Rolande Biro, President of the local judo club, who saw Djamel Bouras, President of PSG Judo, pass through her dojo. In a few days' time, 26 Paris Saint-Germain athletes will be defending the colours of ten different nations.
“It was an immense honour to carry the Olympic Torch and Flame of Paris 2024, representing such powerful symbols of unity, friendship and peace. Paris Saint-Germain is so proud that 26 of our male and female athletes – across men’s and women’s football, handball and judo – are competing in the Games, and we look forward to a magnificent sporting spectacle in our home city of Paris”, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, President of Paris Saint-Germain
