Mbappé: 'We are going to celebrate with our supporters'
Currently sitting atop the Ligue 1 goal scoring charts Kylian Mbappé has won three French championships in a row and is now looking forward to celebrating with the Paris fans Parc des Princes:
Kylian, how important is it for you and the team to celebrate the Ligue 1 title triumph with the fans at the Parc des Princes this Saturday?
"I am looking forward to it. We work hard all year to experience moments like this. Winning the league is one of the objectives we set ourselves at the start of the season and we did it. We're very happy. Now we are going to celebrate the trophy with our supporters at the Parc."
You have won the last three Ligue 1 titles in a row (one with Monaco and two with Paris), is the pleasure still the same?
"When you win, it means you are the best team in the country. We have worked very hard this season and this is our reward. This is why we train hard every day. It's always a great satisfaction to win a trophy."
How do you judge this Ligue 1 season?
"We have produced one of the best seasons in the history of Ligue 1. Not everything was perfect, but in the league, we had a great season. You musn't mix up all the different competitions. We won the Ligue 1 title and that's very good."
Have we seen the best of Kylian Mbappé with Paris Saint-Germain?
"No, but we saw a pretty good one! I can always do better, but it was a good season on a personal level. But it isn't finished yet. We have two matches left and I can still go out get a little something more. We are going to keep going and see what happens. I need six more goals to be the highest scoring Frenchman in a Ligue 1 season, Zlatan scored 38 goals. There's the European Golden Boot... lots to achieve!"
