Mbappé, serial scorer in all competitions

Top scorer in all three competitions in which Paris Saint-Germain are involved, Kylian Mbappé continues to soar at the top of the individual rankings. Here's a closer look at his stunning performance!

As spring takes hold in the capital, Paris Saint-Germain have been blossoming all over France and Europe. After winning the Trophée des Champions on the eve of 2024, Luis Enrique's men took off in the league, leapfrogging their closest pursuers (Brest, now ten points behind), and making a profitable trip to Marseille, while treating themselves to a red-letter date on Catalan soil as they swept aside FC Barcelona and booked their ticket for the Champions League semi-finals.
The work of an entire squad.

And while the performances from Vitinha and Ousmane Dembélé are to be commended, as they were voted European Player of the Week and Man of the Match respectively against Barça, there is one player who still tops the individual rankings: Kylian Mbappé.

The No.7 scored twice in the double-header against the Blaugrana, and in the process took over from Harry Kane (seven goals) as the Champions League's top scorer with no fewer than eight strikes. Kylian's efficiency is all the more remarkable given that he has found the back of the net against every single team he has faced on the European stage this season (Dortmund, Newcastle, AC Milan, Real Sociedad and Barcelona).

A fine performance, especially as this is not the only league table in which the French striker is enjoying himself.

In the Coupe de France, our striker will head into the final of the oldest of competitions as top scorer. With no fewer than eight goals, he has more than doubled the tally of his nearest rival, a certain Arnaud Kalimuendo (four). Once again, he managed to score against every one of Paris's opponents in the competition, with Revel, Orléans, Brest, Nice and Rennes all paying the price.

Finally, it comes as no surprise that the captain of the French national team has also been on fire in the league! While he made the most of his 25 minutes on the pitch to provide Gonçalo Ramos with an assist in the last game against Clermont, it is in the striker's role that Kylian Mbappé continues to excel, as demonstrated by his latest hat-trick against Montpellier, which also marked his 250th goal for Les Rouge et Bleu.

And with no fewer than 24 goals in Ligue 1 this season, it's only logical that he should top the scorers' charts. This puts him well ahead of Jonathan David, who has been in superb form since the start of the year but who is still eight lengths behind Mbappé on the scorers chart (16 goals). Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette is hot on his heels (15 goals).

All in all, Kylian Mbappé has been instrumental no fewer than 50 times in 42 games this season, with a fine total of 41 goals and nine assists in all the competitions in which he has taken part. No other striker on the European continent is currently doing better. History is yet to be written!
