Mbappé sends France into the quarter-finals

Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé's France team beat Poland 3-1 at the Al Thumama Stadium in Doha on Sunday, December 4, in the quarter-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.

Kylian Mbappé was once again voted man of the match, providing an assist for the opening goal and then scoring a brace, his fourth and fifth goals of the tournament, to take the lead in the scoring charts. It was the 32nd and 33rd goals for Les Bleus from the capital club's number 7, which puts him in seventh place in the French top goalscorer rankings, two goals ahead of Zinédine Zidane.

The victory allows Didier Deschamps' men to secure their place in the quarter-finals of the competition, where they will face the winner of the last-16 match between England and Senegal at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al-Khor on Saturday 10 December at 8pm (in France, 10pm in Qatar).
