Mbappé named August Player of the Month
Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé won the Trophée UNFP for the Ligue 1 Player of the Month for August.
The France international was elected with 49% of the votes on tropheesunfp.com, finishing ahead of Lille winger Nicolas Pépé (41%) and Dijon striker Julio Tavares (10%). The Paris No.7 has been recognised for the third time in his career (after April 2017 with Monaco and March 2018 with Paris).
It is the 35th time a Paris Saint-Germain player has received the award since its creation in 2003 - the most of any club ahead of Marseille (23) and Lyon (16).
