Mauricio Pochettino: 'We have to move forward'

On the eve of the Ligue 1 matchday 29 game against Monaco, this Sunday 20 March at 13:00 at the Stade Louis II, the Paris Saint-Germain manager spoke to PSG TV and the media. Here's what he had to say.

MONACO

"We have to move forward and win every game. We're going to face a very good Monaco team, who will obviously want to forget the disappointment of their elimination in the Europa League. We will have to do the job, be professional, win and put in a good performance. Monaco are a very good team. Changing coaches is never easy. We know him because we played against him at the beginning of the season when he was at Brugge. There are some very good players in this team, who play good football. So it will be a tough match.

state of mind

"There is sadness and great disappointment after what happened in Madrid, and we all share this sadness. Everyone is affected. But you can't stop in football, you have to achieve the goal we have left, which is to win the league and give the club its tenth title. Of course we won't forget what happened, but our responsibility is to live with the pain of not having gone further in the Champions League."

bounce back

"It's a situation that will take time. The elimination is a hard blow to take, it was unexpected because, until the 60th minute, we didn't think the game could end like that. It's still difficult to find sleep, peace and quiet and to get it out of your head. As for the future... For me the future is today and tomorrow, I don't think about the long term because it's my responsibility to finish the season in the best way possible. Then we'll see what decision the club makes and where it wants to go."
