Mauricio Pochettino: 'The players have worked very well'

The Paris Saint-Germain coach is pleased with preparations ahead of Saturday's Ligue 1 encounter with Lille at the Parc des Princes.

INTERNATIONAL BREAK

"It went well. It was good for the players who stayed here. They have worked very well. We now have to look forward and find the best solutions to be competitive. We must help the players progress. Those who were with their national teams did not all come back at the same time. It's important for the medical and technical staff to take the decisions to put out the best team."

LILLE

"Lille are a very good side, one of the best in France, and they have done well since the start of the season. It's going to be tough, but we hope to win. The 3-0 Coupe de France win? Each match is different, the competition is too. Lille are a strong team with very good players, just like us. After the international break, we'll have to see what situation Lille are in, how their players are after playing and some long trips, just like ours. It's hard to say what kind of game it'll be, but we expect it to be very difficult."

CRUNCH CLASH

"I think it'll be a difficult game against a great Lille side. It's an important game for both sides. There are three important points at stake, but there is some way to go before the end of the league season. We want to win to stay on top of the table, but there are a lot of matches still to play."

NEYMAR JR & MOISE KEAN

"The international break was good for Neymar. He's been able to train at a very high level for two weeks and show his determination to return to the pitch. He now has to improve his rhythm and his fitness, because he's lacking playing time. But we're very happy with what he did during the international break. Moise has shown since the start of the season that he has the potential to play here. He can still improve because he's young. He's shown he can lead the line, but not only that. He's a really complete player, we're very happy with him."
