Mauricio Pochettino: "Keep this state of mind"

On the eve of the 25th match day of Ligue 1 against Nantes, on Saturday 19 February at 9pm at the Stade de la Beaujoire, the Paris Saint-Germain coach answered questions from PSG TV and the media.

state of mind

"The aftermath of a win like that can be tricky to deal with. The game against Real was incredible. We won in the very last moment of the match. We have to stay calm because it was only the first leg, we have 90 minutes to play in Madrid. We have to keep this state of mind and put the same commitment into the second leg. We are very focused on our objectives. But at this moment, we are only focused on Nantes in order for this game to not pass us by."

nantes

"All matches are different. It's bound to be a complicated game against Nantes. Antoine Kombouaré is doing a very good job with this team, they are in ninth position. Teams always have extra motivation when they play us. Personally, I feel good. As usual, I'm focused on tomorrow and on the next game because all points are important and we want to go home with the three points."

Commitment

"Each competition has to be analysed in a different way but each competition requires a similar commitment. We have a plan that we stick to. Both the staff and the players are focused on doing their best in every game. The match against Nantes will require a lot of effort to get the three points."

Neymar Jr

"It's possible that he starts tomorrow. He has been training very well and he made a very good impact against Real Madrid. Neymar Jr has great energy.  He was very serious and dedicated throughout his recovery process. He has left behind any discomfort he may have had. He is now focusing on his game to help the team as much as possible."

leo messi

"He is the best player in the world. He represents football. Missing a penalty won't affect his football. He played a very good game against Madrid. He found good positions on the pitch. Messi is football."
