Mauricio Pochettino: 'A special match'

On the eve of Matchday 11 of Ligue 1 against Marseille, on Sunday 24 October at 20:45 at the Orange Vélodrome, Paris Saint-Germain's coach answered questions from PSG TV and the media. Extracts.

CLASSIQUE

" It will obviously be a difficult match because the atmosphere will be against us. We know each other well, it will be a special match. We are playing for the three points but also for pride and joy. It will be a very difficult match because Marseille are a very good team. Winning the match is the main thing. We are not thinking about any other result. We need to be positive and focused on this match."

MARSEILLE

"Marseille are an agressive side who quickly look to find depth and to accelerate quickly when they recover the ball. We hope to be able to impose our style on this match. I think that every Classique has its own story, its own life and emotions through the culture of the different countries and teams. We know that and we want to win. That's why we play this kind of match. For the supporters, the players and the staff, it's a special match."

ATMOSPHERE

" We have no fear. We know that the atmosphere will be hostile but for the good of football, I hope that there will be no problems and we will be able to play this match with all of the rivalry, the tension, but that it will finish without any issue."

FORM

"Every team has its own dynamic. From our side of things, the wins over Angers and Leipzig really helped the squad and allowed us to maintain our spots as leaders in the league tables. These matches, that I have experienced as a player and as a coach are different. They have their own story."
