Marquinhos: 'Go out to get the three points'

The Paris Saint-Germain captain set claiming a maximum points haul as the target to achieve in Israel on UEFA Champions League Matchday 2.

Maccabi Haïfa

"Every team has strengths and weaknesses. The key thing is to know them. We have a lot of experience. Each match has its story. We have to be ready for every situation, because anything can happen. Regardless of the circumstances, we must never lose our cool. We have to take advantage when we're on top. Our coach is doing great work. He shows us the strengths and weaknesses of our opponents. We have to focus on the weaknesses to exploit them. We've worked on that in training in recent days. I hope we'll be able to apply it tomorrow."

THREE-MAN DEFENCE

"We'd been used to playing with a back four, but I feel very comfortable with a back three and two wing-backs. Our team is adapting very well to this new system. We listen to our coach daily, and we're improving each game, each training session. I really enjoy playing in a back three. There's a lot of work as we're a very attacking team. We manage to exploit our strengths and also keep things tight when we're on the back foot."

Sergio Ramos

"I'm the sort of person who always tries to improve. I've seen some great champions come through here, some great defenders. I've always tried to learn a little bit from each of them to keep improving. Sergio is  a champion, he's in great form. He's playing match after match and is playing well. It's a plus to have him alongside me. I really like his qualities, his desire and determination on the pitch. Even if I've been here for 10 years, I still have to learn new things to keep improving."

WORLD CUP

"We're not in World Cup mode. We have an important match with Paris Saint-Germain tomorrow. It's an important season for everyone. It motivates us, gives us energy, but we're not yet thinking about the World Cup. We're training well. We're focused on tomorrow's game and the matches coming up. The important thing is to train well, play well, eat well, and above all recover well."

Vitinha

"He's impressed all of us. He's adapted very quickly to our play. He's a very very intelligent and very athletic player. Thanks to his game intelligence, he always manages to find space. Everyone likes him. It's magnificent to have a player who settles in so quickly. He has shown us his quality, his worth. We're happy for him."

NO ULTRAS IN Haïfa

"The Ultras are an important part of our club, of our daily life, of our matches and match days. They have always been there for us away from home. This time they won't be there, but we will have a Fan Club there. We'll also have most of the stadium against us, but that's the Champions League atmosphere, you have to handle it. We have to go out to get the three points regardless of the conditions."
