Marco Verratti, third most capped player of all time

By playing his 345th game in all competitions for the club from the capital in matchday 35 of Ligue 1 this Saturday at the Parc des Princes, the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder entered the Rouge et Bleu's history a little bit more.

After coming on to play the last 30 minutes against RC Lens and celebrate the victory with his teammates (2-1), Marco Verratti also left his mark in Paris Saint-Germain history once more.

This Saturday by coming onto the Parc des Princes pitch the n°6 became the third most capped player in the club's history with 345 games played by overtaking Safet Susic (1982-1991) and Paul Le Guen (1991-1998).


Having arrived in Paris back in 2012 the Italy international has played 223 times in Ligue 1 (5 goals), 25 times in Coupe de France (1 goal), 23 Coupe de la Ligue games, 8 Trophées des Champions and 66 UEFA Champions League matches (3 goals) for the Rouge et Bleu.
