Manuel Ugarte: 'I've come here to win'

Paris Saint-Germain's new recruit spoke to PSG TV after completing his move to the French capital where he hopes to add silverware to his CV.

Manuel, THE LAST FEW DAYS HAVE BEEN VERY BUSY FOR YOU. how do you now feel you're a paris saint-germain player?

"Yes, absolutely. It's been a really intense last few days, because I had to take an important decision. But now I'm very happy, and I'm really looking forward to getting started."

CAN YOU EXPLAIN TO US WHY YOU CHOSE TO JOIN PARIS?

"Firstly, it's the size of the club, but there's also the fans. I have always loved clubs with passionate fans. So that's something that really counted in my choice. The most important thing for me is to be able to win really big things, because I want to win trophies."

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS A PLAYER? WHAT ARE YOUR QUALITIES?

"What I love is to play, to have the ball, but I'd say what characterises me most is that I always give everything. I am, like most Uruguayan players, a player who never gives up, an aggressive player. I always try to give everything on the pitch."

WHAT ARE YOUR AIMS AS YOU ARRIVE HERE?

"The first aim is to learn, especially alongside the players who are here and who have great qualities. I also like to win. That's the same for all the players, but I really love it. I've come here to win."

DO YOU HAVE A MESSAGE FOR THE FANS?

"To all Paris fans, I want to tell you I'm very happy for the support you have given me and I'll give everything on the pitch."
