Luis Enrique: "You can imagine the pressure we'll be under"

The Paris Saint-Germain coach and Gianluigi Donnarumma spoke to PSG TV after the 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad de Futbol in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday 14th February.

LUIS ENRIQUE

"When you look at the first half, it was hard to imagine that we would win this game 2-0. We already knew the level that Real Sociedad play at. They finished top of their group and they're a team that's been playing together for many years. They know exactly what kind of game they have to play and I think they're a spectacular team. You can imagine the pressure we'll be under in San Sebastian and the difficulty of the task ahead. But football gives you opportunities. In the second half, we got off to a better start, we were able to press them more, we were able to get out and play the ball and create more danger, clearer situations and get better balls to our forwards. And that's where we made the difference.

There's a lot of pressure in the Champions League and when we saw in the first half that we weren't able to play out because Real Sociedad were pressing really well we became smaller and smaller. We suffered. Fortunately, in the second half, when we started to get the better of these situations, we felt a lot better, we gained in confidence and I think we were better than Real Sociedad in the second half."

GIANLUIGI DONNARUMMA

"We had a great second half and a difficult first half. The team had a few problems, but that's normal. Real Sociedad are a good side who press well... It was a good match for the team. It's not finished yet because we know the next match will be difficult. Playing away against Real Sociedad will be tough, but we'll keep our concentration turned up to the maximum. The team is united and that's important, very important. We're all together, with those who are playing and those who are playing less. We're all working towards the team's objective."
