Luis Enrique: "We're continuing to go from strength to strength"
Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique and two-goal hero Ousmane Dembélé spoke to PSG TV about Les Rouge et Bleus' 3-1 win over Stade Brestois 29 at the Parc des Princes on Saturday.
Ousmane Dembélé
"We're very happy. We know that Brest are a difficult team to play against, a team that plays in the Champions League, like us. It wasn't an easy game but we're very happy to have won. We're preparing well for the Champions League, which is coming soon. I'm very happy with my two goals. We all played a great game. We could have had the game wrapped up earlier, but we reacted well. Little by little, we're understanding the coach's system and what he wants. After a successful start to the league, we're gradually getting ready for the Champions League."
Luis Enrique
"It's not just the win, it's also how we played to get the win. It's further proof that we're continuing to go from strength to strength. Brest are a team that work well with their coach, a complete team both offensively and defensively. It's always difficult to play against Brest, but I think today we were better from start to finish. They scored from the penalty spot and then it was 1-1. And we lived up to the expectations of our fans, who never stopped singing and supporting us. They gave us a lot of strength, and I think the connection with the fans is almost perfect."
