Luis Enrique: 'We will be better'

Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique and defender Lucas Hernandez spoke to PSG TV after the narrow defeat to FC Barcelona, in Wednesday's UCL quarter-final first-leg clash at the Parc des Princes.

LUIS ENRIQUE

"It's obviously not the result we were hoping for, but you have to look at the positives and analyse the game calmly. In this case, I think it was a very good game for the fans, less good for the coach who loses, which in this case means me. But we will improve. We're going to think positively, about what we have to do in Barcelona, which is simply to approach the match as if it were a final, to go for the win.

"Today's match was a bit like that. I think at the start we were on top and in control of the game. Once we conceded the goal, things got complicated. It was a tricky time for us. They were very good, very clinical, they played out of our pressing well, they have players with a lot of quality, they are a great team. At half-time, when we changed things up, we were able to play with more width with Bradley and also have one more player in the middle. We turned it around very quickly, we could even have scored the third goal, but Barça produced a wonderful move, on one of the few occasions in the second half when they got past the midfield and then they repeated that for the rest of the game. That gave them a good result. We congratulate Barça on their game, on their result, and we're getting ready for the final in a week’s time."

LUCAS HERNANDEZ

"It's a match we knew would come down to the little details, we knew that from the start, and unfortunately in the second half we started well, turned the situation around and then unfortunately... Especially that third Barcelona goal from a corner, it's a situation that shouldn’t happen. Now we have to go to Barcelona and turn things around.

"These are matches, Champions League quarter-finals, where it comes down to the little details. And today they were on their side. They made the most of their chances. Now it's up to us to turn things around and go to Barcelona to qualify. We have the team capable of turning this situation around."
