Luis Enrique: "We were a long way from our best"

The Paris Saint-Germain coach and Lucas Hernandez spoke to PSG TV after the Ligue 1 Matchday 10 encounter against Stade Brestois 29 (2-3).

LUIS ENRIQUE

"A great victory on a very difficult ground. An opponent who hadn't lost at home. I think the match had two very different periods. The first where we were very good and could have scored even more goals - where we were better than Brest. But at the end of the first half, they scored a goal from a throw-in and a cross, which is one of their strengths. In the second half, the truth is that we were a long way from our best, and Brest were better than us.
Gradually, they had opportunities to win. The result could have been for either team but in the end we had a passage of play which lead to a penalty. I haven't seen Kolo. I don't know whether it was a penalty or not, I guess it was one, and, from there, the match was finished. However, the second half wasn't up to our standards."

LUCAS HERNANDEZ

"We showed the strength of the team, the character that all the players have. We knew that it was going to be a difficult match. We'd had a long week and showed that on the pitch. That's the most important. That was our objective for the week, to win the three matches. Now, we'll have a long week of recovery and then it's back to work the week after."
