Luis Enrique: 'We performed at a very high level'

"It was a fantastic weekend. Out of the top nine teams, only Paris Saint-Germain won. That’s significant. We’ve regained a seven-point lead over Monaco and Marseille. Today, we played against a very confident side who hadn’t lost in ten matches, and I think we performed at a very high level. At the end of the first half, conceding that goal may have cost us a bit, but when you’re up against players of this caliber, it’s important to make very few mistakes and on the whole, we’re happy. 

I’m already looking forward to playing at the Parc des Princes again! Now, we have the Monaco match and the Coupe de France game ahead of us. We’re eager to finish 2024 on a strong note by trying to win both of those matches."

"It was very important. We saw that the top five teams had drawn a lot of matches. So now we’re pulling ahead and that’s really important. I felt really good tonight. Once again, I tried to follow the coach’s advice, apply the tactics and help my teammates. I just tried to do my best to perform and contribute to the team.

This victory is very important. It’s also for the supporters who are always behind us. They always push us on, even during the tougher moments we’ve faced recently. We’re bouncing back and that’s what matters most. They’re still here with us and we thank them a lot."
